Service Ribbon Awards

Rainbow Ribbon
Our council’s Rainbow Ribbon is awarded to troops that create and execute an original multi-troop program celebrating diversity. An action plan written by girls following the service learning process is required.  Girls must also evaluate the project and their experience via journals or video and a release to local media.

Green Ribbon
Your troop can earn the Green Ribbon for your troop flag, for 10 hours of service to a council program property. Tents Up and Tents Down offer service hours toward the Green Ribbon, and there are other opportunities to earn hours during spring and fall. Email project ideas and date to Lu-Ann Souza.
Purple Ribbon

There are 2 ways to earn this ribbon for your troop flag:

  • Coordinate a council-sponsored event. Teen troops are needed to run programs for Daisy, Brownie and Junior troops.

  • Assist a member of the program staff for 10 hours on a project related to a council-sponsored program.

For available opportunities, check our website’s Teen programs, or email Jaime Croteau.
