| Religious Awards | ||||||
The Girl Scout organization welcomes girls from every religion and encourages them to grow spiritually and celebrate their beliefs.
If you would like to earn the award for your religion, here are the steps to follow. 1 Contact Brianne Kellogg DeRosa, Community Ties Program Manager, for info on getting your religion's program books and awards. 2 Meet with your religious leader and show her or him the material. Explain that the application form will require her signature. Discuss whether she will serve as your counselor or appoint a parent, religious school teacher, lay leader or other qualified adult to do so. Counselors may work with individuals or with a group. 3 Meet with the counselor and start working on the program. Complete the requirements and send the application form to the appropriate organization.
4 With your religious leader, plan a ceremony in your house of worship for convocation of your award. There may be special dates, like Girl Scout Sunday, which are also significant in your religion. |

| 5 The recognition awards are available from the religious groups sponsoring the programs. If a pin is given, you may wear it on your badge sash below the membership stars, or on the right side of uniform, level with membership pin. |
