FAQs about
Religious Awards |
||||
| How
do I get started on a religious award? Contact Brianne Kellogg DeRosa, x33, bkderosa@gscsm.org. Provide the girl’s program level and religion so she can be directed to resources appropriate to her beliefs. Are religious awards just for Catholic girls? Religious awards for many organized religions are available through Girl Scouts, including most Protestant denominations, Judaism, Friends, Eastern Orthodox, Islam, Hinduism and Baha’i. When should a girl start working on a religious award? She can start any time. The council event honoring those who have completed religious awards is generally held in late May. If she would like to be recognized then, she should schedule her work accordingly. |
I am planning to attend the Religious Awards
Ceremony. What do I need to do? Congratulations! Contact Lu-Ann Souza to register, at x18 or lsouza@gscsm.org, with your name, the award you earned and the number of your guests. Do I have to be in a troop to earn a religious award? Religion is personal, and religious awards are earned individually, not as troops. |
