program How Things Move  ·  Program in a Bag

description Girls can explore the world around them and explore together how things move and why. The goal is to learn interesting things through exploration using all senses. The activities are broken into four main sections: how air moves things, how water moves things, why things bounce, and how the shape of something effects how it moves in the air. Girls will make paper flying machines, explore gravity with bouncing balls, and experience erosion and the power of water to move things. Lots of huffing and puffing will be required to see the power of air and complete an “air painting!”
reserve Your troop can borrow this packaged program, which contains everything needed to run it during your meetings, including instructions, activities, sample projects, shopping lists for materials and explanations of the purpose and results you should expect. The leadership team conducts the program at their own pace, so it is perfectly suited to the level and abilities of the girls. The program is available on loan, free of charge, from the Service Center. If you notify us ahead of time, we can deliver to your next Service Unit meeting.  To reserve, submit an online request form, or email Lola Furtado.
